Ever get that phone call from your spouse that you left for work that morning and forgot to take something out of the car that they needed. Something like the extra child car seat, or the box of toys going to charity, or, in my case this morning, my daughter’s lacrosse gear.
Which unfortunately means my wife called and says, “Damnit, now I have to drive to wear you parked and get the stuff out of the back of the car.”
“So, exactly where did you park?“Now I had parked the car at the Ferry terminal in a town about 10 minutes from our house, but the parking lot was huge. I started to explain which turn she should take, and which direction to go, and where not to go, and finally realized… why don’t I just draw you a map.
Google Maps, plus iOS screen capture, plus Apple Pencil and literally 30 seconds later I send this in a text to my wife.
Now, I don’t like to use the term “hero”, but you can.
How amazing. Literally to the PARKING SPOT, I could now easily give her consumable data that would (hopefully) ensure she didn’t waste too much time going up and down each parking aisle.
